I was born on September 18, 1987 in Waco and raised in the nearby suburb of Hewitt with my older brother and younger sister. I attended Midway ISD public schools from kindergarten through high school and graduated in 2006. I then spent two years at McLennan Community College in Waco, studying Instrumental Music Education. After obtaining my Associate’s Degree in 2008, I transferred to the University of Texas at Arlington, where I spent three years working on my Bachelor’s Degree. Here I changed my major slightly to Music Media and added a Broadcasting minor. I earned my degree and graduated in 2011, the first in my immediate family to do so, and promptly returned home to Hewitt.
I then spent two years in the “real world,” working for a vending machine company for several months and then for ESPN Radio Central Texas for about a year and a half. After much prayer during this time, I decided to enter the seminary, beginning classes in the fall of 2013 at St. Joseph Abbey and Seminary College in St. Benedict, Louisiana. After studying two years of Pre-Theology there, I obtained a second Bachelor’s in Philosophy and then began graduate studies at St. Mary’s Seminary in Houston, where I have completed my 2nd year studying Theology. I’m currently finishing up my Pastoral Year/Internship at St. Martin de Porres in Dripping Springs.
