God loves you and has a plan for your life. And the good news is, you already know what that plan is! If you are a baptized Christian, God has called you to be a saint! Your vocation (a word that means “call”) is to be holy -- in other words, to be Christ in the world. To be a Christian means to be a disciple of Jesus, and to allow him to teach me to live my life for others. There are different ways we can be called to do that -- either through the Sacrament of Matrimony (marriage), in a generous single life, in the Sacrament of Holy Orders, or through a life of special consecration to God. Whatever our vocation, though, each of us is called to live not for ourselves, but for God and for others.
We hope that this site inspires you and helps you to know more clearly which vocation God might be calling you to, and how to take steps to respond to that call.
Food for the Journey
Let's be honest, the way we feel often motivates what we do. When we look at what joy really means, we can find something that drives us beyond just the way we feel. When have you experienced true joy?
Thoughts Along the way
We are not victims of chance or swept up in a series of unconnected events; on the contrary, our life and our presence in this world are the fruit of a divine vocation.
