I grew up in San Marcos, where I attended The Master’s School and San Marcos High School.
I first began thinking about being a priest when I was at Texas A&M University, where I was involved in the campus ministry program at St. Mary’s Catholic Center. Upon graduation, I was accepted as a seminarian and began philosophy studies at Holy Trinity Seminarian in Dallas.
I am now in my sixth year of seminary, and I study at the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio. I spent last year on a very enjoyable pastoral year at St. William in Round Rock during which time, my desire to serve the people of God sacramentally grew considerably.
Recreationally, I enjoy playing the piano and the pipe organ, various things outdoors, and flying. One of my favorite Bible passages of late is Lamentation 3:21-23 “But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” (RSV).
